Where are you tonight?, Bob Dylan
There’s a white diamond gloom on the dark side of this room
And a pathway that leads up to the stars
If you don’t believe there’s a price for this sweet paradise
Remind me to show you the scars
There’s a new day at dawn and I’ve finally arrived
If I’m there in the morning, baby, you’ll know I’ve survived
I can’t believe it, I can’t believe I’m alive
But without you it just doesn’t seem right
Oh, where are you tonight?
Abandoned Love
Other End
New York City, New York
July 3, 1975
I should have checked tumblr all along.
Yesterday I realized that the 1975 recording of Abandoned Love has been taken down. I was torn with disbelief and disappointment when all of a sudden my glasses broke. I am now pretty blind with a migraine and still looking for this recording with no luck. HELP!
We Better Talk This Over, Bob Dylan
You don’t have to be afraid of looking into my face
We’ve done nothing to each other time will not erase.
Abandoned Love - Bob Dylan
This is easily one of my favorite songs and if that weren’t reason enough to post it twice I direct you to the only known live recording here.
My patron saint is a-fighting with a ghost
He’s always off somewhere when I need him most.
The Spanish moon is rising on the hill
But my heart is a-tellin’ me I love ya still.
I come back to the town from the flaming moon
I see you in the streets, I begin to swoon.
I love to see you dress before the mirror
Won’t you let me in your room one time ’fore I disappear?
Everybody’s wearing a disguise
To hide what they’ve got left behind their eyes.
But me, I can’t cover what I am
Wherever the children go I’ll follow them.
Going, Going, Gone, Bob Dylan and The Band
I been hangin’ on threads,
I been playin’ it straight,
Now, I’ve just got to cut loose
Before it gets late.
So I’m going,
I’m going,
I’m gone.
Bob Dylan and chicken
On a Night Like This, Bob Dylan and The Band
Put your body next to mine
And keep me company,
There is plenty a-room for all,
So please don’t elbow me.
Let the four winds blow
Around this old cabin door,
If I’m not too far off
I think we did this once before.
There’s more frost on the window glass
With each new tender kiss,
But it sure feels right
On a night like this.
Isis, Bob Dylan
This is clearly one of my favorite videos of Bob, but what I could watch over and over again are his hands at 2:45-3:05.
And I know guys, it’s been a week of Dylan.
